Myth# 6 Vampires can move at a speed of sound

Source: Observation and exaggeration of vampires running, leaping and using their quick reflexes.
Fact: While they can sprint faster than most humans (25 to 30 miles per hour) and jump higher than any (at least ten feet), vampires cannot fly, levitate, teleport, or move any faster than a professional human athlete.

Myth# 5 Holy water have effect on vampires.

The source of this myth is from cristinity.Holy water, or any water for that matter, has little effect on vampires. They can, however, still be drowned, and they generally hate getting
wet as it can lower their body temperature, making them less energetic
 and able to hunt.

Myth#4::Vampires Can Fly/Vampires turn into Bats and other Animals

This belief comes from the belief that vampires can also turn themselves into bats.  Real vampires are still human and therefore can not turn into a bat or any type of animal (mass is neither created nor destroyed, just rearranged) not to mention bats and other animals have a completely different DNA structure and number of chromosomes.

Vampires can be killed by wodden stackes.

Real Vampires are human, just a different type of human (another race in a way).  The myth derives from the belief that vampires were undead and the blood in their body would continue to flow unless they stopped the flow at the source.  Sometimes the person believed to be a vampire would be staked both in the head and the heart.  Real vampires can be killed by being impaled by anything in the heart, or being shot or poisoned, or anything that would kill a normal human.

Myth# 3:Crosses Repel Vampires

Crosses in myth either kill or temporarily stun the vampire.  This came from the Christian religion and the belief that vampires were evil.  Real vampires are not affected by crosses or religious symbols and many of them follow a religious lifestyle (I am Catholic).

Myth#2:Grlic repells Vampires:

Truth of Myth.
This myth most likely came from observation.  Even though
real vampires have a very keen sense of smell
and garlic is a pungent spice, it does not kill them.

myth#1:Vampires Sleep in Coffins

TRUTH:
This myth probably came from the fact that vampires were believed to be reanimated corpses.  During decomposition, the body fills up with gases and expels them, sometimes moving the body or causing them to possibly sit up in their coffin.  No real vampire that I know sleeps in a coffin, but some that I heard that do simply sleep in coffins because it is soundproof. About 99% of real vampires don't sleep in coffins though.
